Under Sai Probodhini, a charitable trust, we run a school which caters to approx 80 students in class nursery and KG. It caters to the underprivileged children living around this area. The objective, in addition to academic studies, is to inculcate Sanskar (values and culture), civic sense and hygiene in their lives and, thereby, make them contributing and good citizens of our nation and the world. This school is run by the trust through the assistance of, mainly, volunteer teachers supported by 4 teachers on our payroll (on a stipend). We pay for the summer and winter uniforms including shoes and pullovers, books, stationery, etc. and the snacks and milk served in the break time. In addition, we celebrate all festivals and take the children for picnics, organize events like sports days, etc. We also assist the children in gaining admission to first standard in local schools.
In order to assist the women of the weaker section to develop skills and be economically independent, we conduct stitching classes for the ladies of the nearby village. To ensure quality vocational training, a qualified Tailor Master is employed and paid by Sai Probodhini trust. The cloth for the classes is generally donated by the devotees.
